I love me some ice cream and this heavy duty tool does the trick. Instantly I was impressed with the quality; you can really feel the weight on this tool. My wife joked about using it to workout in place of a barbell. That said, you don't have to worry about this thing not breaking through the hard stuff. It's not a miracle worker so if you have your fridge set for absolute zero it'll still take some muscle to get through it. What's nice though is to won't bubble, chip, peel or BEND when you are carving out your icy fortune.
