Customer Review: good grip, but can be improved

Average blade. Nice grip handles.
However, over time, with use, the rubber handles slides off easily.
The ridges in the rubber handle can make it hard to clean if you get gunk into it (using an old toothbrush helps get it out easily).
With use any blade will get dull, but can be easily sharpened.

Description of Oxo Good Grips Paring and Mini Chef Knife Set

The blade size and excellent handle make the paring knife by Oxo the premiere small tool for the kitchen. Designed for small jobs but useful for big ones, too, the sharp, tapered blade slices through fruits and vegetables easily while the tension-absorbing rubber handle takes strain off the hands, even with repetitive motions. Pairing the sharpness of a larger knife with the agility of a smaller one, the mini chef's knife is the perfect invention for smaller tasks.

The Good Grips line features durable, nonslip flexible handles on every product. Ergonomically designed to fit the palm comfortably and softly, the pressure-absorbing processed rubber handle puts less tension on the hands, while providing an outstanding grip. Made from the same material dishwasher gaskets are constructed of, the handles are slip-proof, wet or dry, as well as dishwasher-safe.
