I got tired of dragging out my trusty box grater to do small jobs like grating nutmeg, ginger or Parmagiana Reggiano so I picked this little gem up. It feels good in your hand (no surprise there...it's what Oxo is known for)is well-made and cleans up beautifully...every time. It is so easy now just to grab this guy and grate what needs to be grated that I find I am using whole spices more and more. Grab yourself one of these...you'll love it!

Grate expectations. This handsome grater shreds hard cheeses, potatoes, carrots and other vegetables, introducing new, powerful flavor to your cooking. With a tapered handle and soft, non-slip side, grating has never been safer or easier. Can also be used to grate chocolate and ginger for flavored coffee and delectable desserts! Lifetime warranty against defects.With its 3-by-4-1/2-inch convex face, this 10-inch grater is ideal for Parmesan or other hard cheeses. It also grates potatoes for crusty potato pancakes, carrots for a classic Bolognese sauce, and onions for fresh salsa. Oxo's Steel line is an all-stainless-steel variant of the company's familiar fat-handled Good Grips line. Rather than being straight-sided, this tool's handle is tapered from heel to finger grip and has satin-finish, stainless-steel panels top and bottom. The handle's sides feature the same design as those in the Good Grips line--they're made of soft processed rubber for comfort, with "fins," or grooves, that flex under pressure, conforming to individual finger grips and providing control when handles are wet or slippery.
